Morocco wrap-up

Our final few days in Morocco have been spent in Tangier. Our riad is near the edge of the whitewashed medina, just outside of the Kasbah.

Bab Kasbah

We have visited the Kasbah Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the ancient fort. Did a walking tour that included a local market, the medina market, a Museum for Moroccan Kings, a Synagogue, coffee at a historic restaurant and a walk around the medina.

The variety of olives is amazing!

We have been to Cap Spartal and the Hercules Cave, and driven past “summer home” palaces belonging to both Moroccan and Saudi royal families and allegedly Pablo Escobar!

We’ve walked up more hills and steps than we wish to remember, partaken in another Hammam and enjoyed mint tea whilst we can.

Our final day will be a quiet one as we prepare to head to Spain on Sunday and collect our trusty steed for the year!

We’re heading out on a mid-life gap year, that is 80% unplanned. As natural planners, we’re well and truly stepping out of our comfort zones.
